Can you guess?

Answer: D. Macau (population density: 21,081/km²)
With an area of 30.5 sqkm (11.8 sq mi), Macau is a small autonomous territory, and yet this tiny, prosperous region is home to over 632,000 people.
Originally a Chinese trading post, control was given to Portuguese empire in 1887, and the Portuguese maintained possession of the territory for over a century until it was given back to China in 1999. As a special administrative region of China, Macau is largely independent and has its own political system apart from the mainland.
Today, Macau is a major tourist destination, and it is the gambling capital of the world. It is home to the world’s largest casino, and the country’s annual income from the gambling industry dwarfs the profits of Las Vegas.
